How To Fix E-Sys can’t connect. Open Connect Target blank..

BMW E-Sys cannot connect:
I just can’t seem to connect using E-Sys (With E-Sys Launcher)
I’ve tried 2 computers with the same result.
E-Sys V3.27.1
Using Launcher with F080
Basically I am unable to select a target.
Connect via VIN looks correct
Connect button isn’t highlighted.

If the “Open Connection” window under “Target” is empty (no targets), verify the following:
- That the “psdzdata” folder is installed properly (From the PSdZData_Lite or PSdZData_Full extraction, copy the “psdzdata” folder to “C:Data” (i.e. “C:Datapsdzdata”)
- That the psdzdata chassis folders each have an empty “dist” folder. Make sure that there is an empty “dist” folder in each of the psdzdata chassis folders, and if missing, create as needed, e.g.:
- C:DatapsdzdatamainseriesF001F001_xx_xx_xxxod xdist
- C:DatapsdzdatamainseriesF010F010_xx_xx_xxxod xdist
- C:DatapsdzdatamainseriesF020F020_xx_xx_xxxod xdist

- The the E-Sys “Options” => “Settings” => “Directories => Data: path” is set properly (e.g. “C:Data”)
You can wait 2 more days, or just follow the instructions provided to you:
* NOTE: E-Sys Launcher 2.x Car Series MUST be set to exactly match the car’s chassis type you are coding (e.g. F01, F06, F07, F10, F12, F15, F25, F30, F82, F83, etc.). If after install it defaults to F999 and it cannot be changed, change PC Date ahead 4 days, then change E-Sys Launcher Car Series, then change PC Date back to current date. DO NOT create .EST Token and PIN with PC Date advanced 4 days as the Validity Start Date for the token will be 4 days in the future.
For F80:
E-Sys Laucnher Car Series = F080
E-Sys Connection Target = F020
If you are missing E-Sys Connection Targets, then something is not correct with your PSdZData. You need to replace it.

How to use TIS2000 for Saab (TIS2008-2) for Tech 2

For anyone happy using TIS2000 for Saab (TIS2008-2) follow these steps:
First, get your hands on a Tech 2 handset, CANDI and cables etc. Make sure you are confident that your serial connections are good.
1. You will need a TIS2000 USB key and patch for activation (can be bought for little money or sourced elsewhere)
2. Download and install TIS2000 for GM/NAO. You may be prompted to install the USB key – just follow the steps. When finished, don’t run the TIS2000 program.
3. Download Saab TIS2008-2. Insert into same physical/virtual CD drive you installed the TIS2000 GM from (drive letter needs to be the same).
4. Launch TIS2000 from desktop icon/start menu
5. TIS2000 should detect available update (Saab TIS-2008). OK this and let it run.
6. If you haven’t installed the USB key and patch do this now.
7. Launch TIS2000 and click on SPS or security access to ensure it works
8. Enjoy!
I believe this will allow re-programming of models up to 2008 only, so if you have a later model, you’ll probably need GlobalTIS.
If you’ve bought a clone Tech 2 unit I’d recommend throwing away the supplied flat RJ45/ethernet cable and replacing it with a standard ethernet cable (not cross-over) as mine was faulty and caused many headaches! The correct pin-out is provided by the RJ45 to D9 adaptor. For those interested, only pins 4 and 5 on the RJ45 socket are used (TX/RX).
IMPORTANT:
You may well have a couple of issues getting the software running initially. If your web browser refuses to connect to the TIS2Web service, it’s likely that one of the two GlobalTIS services are not running. To fix this, open the ‘services’ console either by
Start>Run and type “services.msc”
OR
Right-click ‘My Computer” select ‘Manage’ and drill down to the services icon on the left pane.
There are two services that should be running and they’ve got obvious names, something like GlobalTIS and TC6 (not near my TIS PC at the moment) and sit next to each other in the services list. In the information pane they should say ‘started’. If not, right-click and select ‘start’. If this fails with an error, try modifying the registry key below.
To open registry editor Start>Run regedit BE CAREFUL MODIFYING THE REGISTRY – YOU CAN REALLY SCREW YOUR PC UP!!!!!
In the left pane, expand the keys until you find the following
HKLMSoftwareApache Software FoundationProcrun2.0Global TISTC6ParametersJavaJvmMx
Change the value of this key from 0X0000044 to 0X00000200 and exit the registry. Try to restart the service – you should find it now works. Don’t ask me why, I got this fix from another forum – fair play to the guy who found it.

'Service Active Handing' warning: Solved by VXDIAG Nano GM

This is the most cost-effective way for ‘Service Active Handing’ warning to pull such codes right out of the box.
Will work right out of the box without a GM subscription, since the GDS2 version you get with it, does not connect to GM, so the “VM” GDS2 program does not need a GM subscription to work.
So with it, it will give you the DTC codes to begin with, and you can go into the code directed modules to check them to see what the problem is, what needs to be replaced or corrected.
So once you have GDS2 running and the GM Nano connected to the car and PC, step one is to go into to vehicle diagnostic, and use read vehicle wide DCT and id information. This will list the Dtc to start with.
Now back out of that menu, and go into module diagnostic, and depending which module the DTC code pointed you at, go in that module to read it’s data/trouble shoot the problems.
Again so long as you don’t need a brand new module that will need to be initially firmware vin flashed to lock it to the car, or need to get into a security menu to say learn a fob into the car (both part of the SPS program, not the GDS2 program), you don’t need a subscription to GM.
If you do need to use the SPS program, then you can get at least a three day subscription to GM, and it will load the needed subscription locked programs to your computer as you use them (your VM GDS2 program will be locked away in it own little folder safe, independent of the programs that the subscription programs that will be downloaded to your machine, and will only work while you have an active subscription to GM).
Really, check around in your area to see Who has a Clone MDI with Vm GDS2 to give you a hand. This will not only give you chance to see how the device and GDS2 is used, but will make short work of figuring out the problem of the car. Trust me, once you see the what GDS2 can do with the car, you will want it for yourself as well.
On the Corvette C6’s, by going through just the voltages of each module, I can tell where there is a electrical problem, before the problem causes a lose of communication down the line instead.
Hence if the ECM has a voltage of 14.3 with the reast of the modules , yet the RCDLR has a voltage of say 13.4V, know that there is either a bad connection to the module, ground point problem, or that the board has a cold solder joint that needs to be re-soldered; before it starts to cause DTC problems isntead.
On the F55 module, again a snap to catch problems before they happen to start throwing DTC codes, since I can check ever sensor for it’s voltage too. Hence say three of the level sensor are reading 2.1 volt, but one is reading 1.2 volts, you know it has a problem that needs to be resolved before it causes DTC codes next.

Here,OBDexpress.co.uk has collected Digiprog 3 test/feedback on the web,people usually post Digiprog 3 success,But for those who are looking for a DP 3 for personal use, they should confirm if their car works or not. If not, Digiprog 3 is nothing for them. Here is the car list with no luck.
